HOW'S MY DRIVING~?

Since it occurred to me that I had yet to put one of these up for Holly, I'm putting on my srs buzns Bryce face and doing so now!  A generic HMD post for any critique, comments or compliments on my characterization for Captain Holly Short of Artemis Fowl.  Big FYI to possible lurkers, you're welcome to comment as well, it's not just limited to those from the RP.  ♥  If you're providing critique, please try and cite a specific example so that I can be more accurate in making corrections to the flaw.  Also, if you'd like to ask a question about why Holly did something or what her motivations are (I try and make them apparent in struck-through comments, but it sometimes doesn't always come across fully), those can be presented here as well.  Anonymous commenting is enabled and IP logging is off.  If you'd like to contact me privately, feel free to hit me up at live infamy on AIM or my personal journal, [info]arcesso.  I always like the opportunity to improve, so don't be shy!

Foaly, I know you're probably upset with me, but... I joined the LEP to help people, and as long as I've got Sool hovering over my shoulder...  There's no way I'll be able to do that.  This was the only option, and I'm glad that I took it.

On a more publically relevant note; Opal Koboi has been neutralized, she is due for retrieval in two weeks by the LEP.  Her last known location was a vinyard in Italy near Bari.  The Council is still out on whether or not we can touch her, since she is no longer considered one of the People.

As for the events of E7... the situation surrounding the late Commander, Julius Root, has been cleared up.  The Brill brothers are in LEP custody, and I'm sure Opal will follow.  She's no longer a threat to the People.

And... as for me?  Well, if you know anyone that law enforcement needs rounded up... Short and Diggums Private Detective Agency is looking its first case.

[ooc;  Moving on with the timeline, Opal Deception is now over which means Holly has quit the LEP because of Ark Sool and his faggotry, she's effectively a bounty hunter, for the moment, but she'd be happy to cross-worlds to find work.]

[voice post]

[the choked sound of what might be sobbing is heard at first]  ...He's really gone.  I.  [she tries to muffle a hiccup, but there's nothing to help the sniffling]

No.  This isn't right.  How can she be doing this?  Need to talk to Foaly, need to...  need to alert the LEP.

[voice becomes louder]  I don't care if I'm a fugitive.  They need to know it's her!

Artemis.  [transmission cuts, and there's some static, then cuts back in]  -need your help - [transmission cuts, line goes dead]

[ooc;  Moving on with the plot...  Opal Deception time.]

Normally I'd keep this to a fairy network, but I doubt Trubs would let me hear the end of it if he saw.  But, man, I'm totally freaking out about the LEP test.

I mean, yeah, I did all my studying and I've been ace at the shuttle piloting, but still;  that Commander's a total hardass, what are the chances he'll want me as the first lady fairy in the recon unit?

I shouldn't seriously be considering Chix and Trouble to study, it won't make a difference this late in the game.  Still.  What if I, like, totally blank or something?

[voice]

. . .  I cannot believe this.

For Frond's sake, you'd think I'd be immune to--[sneezing is heard, and then some heavy coughing and when she speaks again, her voice is raspier]

I'm starting to hate this virus more and more.

[ooc;  Holly's humanity has come with the added bonus of susceptibility to pneumonia; and, considering they're hiding in an ice cave of the Arctic, that is pretty common.]

I list the characters I play with their journals. You ask questions, on your IC journal or OOC journal, it doesn't matter. They answer IC. Okay? Okay. It can be about their username, what their favorite food is...whatever your mind can come up with.

Hopping on the bandwagon.  Unfortunately for you, I'm only making my active DDD characters available.  So, here's a list.

Holly Short ([info]notleprechaun)
Lady ([info]sin_nom)
Bruce Wayne ([info]checkmymobile)
Circe ([info]cometomyisle )

grudging
All of Haven is on orange alert with the raid of E37.  No surprise, the citizens are terrified.  All the same, if I get one more petrified fairy begging me to do something, I'm just going to knock her out.  It's like they don't realize that we're doing everything we can, already.  A situation like this has to be handled delicately, especially when it's starting to look more and more like it involves him.  There's no goblin smart enough to think of dealing with a human, which means the mudman had to be one smart enough to find the Triad.  Maybe I should say mudboy, though.

D'Arvit.  How could I not have caught this.  "Not up to anything," right; I never should have believed that crap about his father.  Better I didn't let the Commander know about that shortcoming--then again, Foaly's probably monitoring this, so there goes that plan.  We'll probably be too busy dealing with this anyway.

This Mud Boy's been nothing but trouble, it's about time we dragged him down here and do the mind wipe we should have to begin with.

If I spend one more day monitoring E37 with Verbil, I'm eating my Neutrino. I swear it. I mean, for crying out loud, the thing's been abandoned for decades.

And, just a thought, but web site monitoring . . . that sounds more like a tech job, to me. Foaly could easily do this with his software, and yet I'm stuck mingling with mudmen. And Fowl on top of it all. Sure, he needs monitoring, but there must be something strange going on if they're sending an actual officer to keep an eye out.

Ugh. The Commander would pitch a fit if he saw this, I really need to stop complaining. I'd just like to know how monitoring a completely abandoned shuttle chute is serving the People.
